Fourth Bid to Plug Oil Leak on Thursday

10/18/2009 - The company responsible for an oil spill off the Kimberley coast says a fourth attempt to plug the leak will take place on Thursday.

A third attempt to plug the eight-week-old Timor Sea oil leak failed yesterday, prompting conservationists to call for Federal Government intervention.

Greens MLC Robin Chapple and John Carey from the Pew Environment Group today criticised the company's decision to knock back earlier offers from Woodside for help to fix the problem.
