Why Most Facebook Users Get More Than They Give

A report by the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project finds that most Facebook users receive more attention from friends on Facebook than they give back when it comes to activities such as pressing the "like" button, trading messages, or tagging people in photos. The main reason is a segment of "power users" who contribute much more than the typical user does.
