Quality Pre-Kindergarten for All: State Legislative Report

This school year, more American children than ever before will have the opportunity to attend a high quality pre-kindergarten program. Yet far too many of their playmates will needlessly enter kindergarten already behind, with little hope of catching up to their peers.

This legislative report of all 50 states conducted by The Trust for Early Education, a project of the Pew Charitable Trusts and other funders, finds that even in tough fiscal times many states recognize the importance of investing in young children.
