Maryland recently became the first state to publicly share its responses to the 2014 Election Administration and Voting Survey. The state was also the first to release these data in 2012.
Maryland had 3.7 million active registered voters for the November 2014 election, and 1.7 million of them cast ballots. Other highlights:
The survey, submitted by all states to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and administered every two years, gathers data on many issues related to election administration, including voter registration, absentee voting, military and overseas voting, and provisional ballots.
