State-Level Analysis of Lifesaving Strategies LawsType: RPF Description: The Pew Charitable Trusts seeks a contractor to conduct a comprehensive assessment of state-level laws and policies related to lifesaving strategies (commonly known as harm reduction) aimed at reducing overdose deaths and other harms associated with substance use. This includes completing a baseline assessment of current policies across all 50 states, developing an evidence-based comparison point, identifying priority areas for technical assistance and policy advancement, and creating clear, actionable policy recommendations. The contractor will also highlight states and jurisdictions that are well -positioned for policy change, include lived and living experience alongside subject matter expertise throughout the project, and present findings through accessible and user-friendly tools. The final products will be disseminated through professional networks to inform policy development and support evidence-aligned lifesaving strategies efforts nationwide.
