Pew Urges HHS Secretary to Implement Health IT Rules to Help in Light of Coronavirus

The Pew Charitable Trusts sent a letter April 2 to Health and Human Services Secretary Alex M. Azar urging the agency to implement without delay new regulations promoting patient access to data and improved information sharing. The letter says that quick action will help the nation confront issues raised by the coronavirus pandemic as more patients and providers rely on telemedicine to meet health care needs. The new regulations can play an essential role in ensuring continuity of care.
