On April 1, The Pew Charitable Trusts submitted a letter to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recommending strategies to help the agency achieve its climate resilience goals for fisheries and protected species. The letter encouraged NOAA to advance comprehensive, ecosystem-based resource management, using the best available science, to help endangered species recover and to ensure sustainable fisheries and healthy coastal and marine habitats in the face of a rapidly changing ocean environment.
