Comment letter offers support for resilience provisions and habitat priorities in proposed 2021-25 plan

New Jersey Coastal Management Assessment and Strategy

On May 29, The Pew Charitable Trusts submitted comments praising the forward-looking initiatives proposed in the New Jersey Coastal Management Program’s draft coastal enhancement assessment and strategy for 2021 to 2025. Specifically, Pew’s letter expressed support for efforts to ensure that coastal wetlands and communities can effectively adapt to sea level rise, advance nature-based solutions to flooding and other coastal hazards, and improve ocean use and resource management.
