Pew Outlines Potential Effects of Reducing Medicare Part B Payments to 340B Hospitals
Proposal would have limited impact on federal health expenditures
The Pew Charitable Trusts sent a letter Aug. 11 to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services summarizing possible unintended consequences of a proposal to reduce Medicare Part B payments to hospitals participating in the 340B Drug Discount Program, such as hospitals choosing to forgo discounted medicines in favor of the list price.
