Pew Comments on Durations of Use for Medically Important Antimicrobials in Animal Agriculture

On March 13, The Pew Charitable Trusts submitted comments to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration per their request for information regarding the establishment of appropriate durations of use for medically important antimicrobial drugs in animal agriculture.

The comments strongly support establishing appropriate duration limits but urge the agency to announce a concrete plan and timeline for revision of labels so that they are consistent with all aspects of judicious use, and not restrict actions solely to durations of use.
