Pew, 12 Health Organizations Applaud Electronic Health Record Rule

On Dec. 15, Pew and 12 stakeholder organizations submitted joint comments to the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services in support of its proposed rule to include unique device identifier data in electronic health records. The groups noted that this information would help improve coordination of care as well as analyses of device safety and resolution of recalls.
