Very little information is currently available on fall aggregations of passage migrant waterbirds and shorebirds in the Seal River Important Bird Area (IBA). This survey provides a fall census of bird concentrations using the Seal River estuary, using daily waterfowl flocks counts, shorebird flock and high tide roost counts and other opportunistic collection of relevant data on the use of the estuary by birds.
