Pew Marine Fellow Omar Defeo Wins Elsevier Scopus Prize for Uruguay
Omar Defeo, a professor at the Universidad de la República, has won the 2010 Elsevier Scopus Prize for Uruguay. Also supported by the Uruguayan National Agency for Research and Innovation, the award honors Uruguayan researchers who have made an outstanding contribution to the Scopus database, the most comprehensive database of references currently available.
Defeo was honored with the award for the many articles he has published and citations he has received in his area of expertise. He will be presented with the award at a reception on 16 September 16 2010 in Montevideo.
