Pew Appoints Kil Huh as Senior Vice President for Government Performance

WASHINGTON—The Pew Charitable Trusts announced today the appointment of Kil Huh as senior vice president for its government performance division, which includes initiatives on state fiscal and economic policy, consumer finance, safety and justice, and public health. The appointment is effective Feb. 16. Huh, who has been with Pew since 2007, currently serves as a vice president in the division.

“Kil is an inspiring leader who has led our fiscal and economic work to new frontiers and will certainly do the same for our other initiatives, such as our health and public safety projects,” said Sue Urahn, Pew’s president and chief executive officer. “Importantly, Kil is also a wonderful colleague who has encouraged and advanced our efforts to become a more diverse and inclusive organization, and he’s been a supportive manager and mentor to scores of Pew staff members over the years.”

“I’m honored to begin this new role at Pew, particularly at a time when our research can help inform so many critical decisions and policies across the U.S.,” said Huh. “I look forward to advancing Pew’s work during this time of simultaneous crisis and recovery.”

Before joining Pew, Huh was director of policy and consulting for the Fannie Mae Foundation, where he previously managed the foundation’s state and local initiatives. He holds a bachelor’s degree in urban regional studies from Cornell University; a master’s in urban planning from New York University; and a master’s in philosophy and a doctorate in urban planning from Columbia University.
