Pew Sends Letter to NPS Acting Director on Park Repairs

On March 11, The Pew Charitable Trusts sent a letter to National Park Service (NPS) Acting Director Shawn Benge on the implementation of the Great American Outdoors Act. The law lays out a plan to address NPS deferred maintenance, which totals more than $13 billion. In the letter, Marcia Argust, director of Pew’s restore America’s parks project, encourages NPS to follow the law’s guidelines to fund priority repairs in the National Park System.
