Pew Urges Senate to Prepare for Future Pandemics

The Pew Charitable Trusts sent a letter on June 26 to the leaders of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions responding to a request for proposals to help prepare for future pandemics. The letter highlighted the importance of expanding the development of new antibiotics, developing sufficient numbers of diagnostic tests, and supporting improvements in health information technology systems to share data more efficiently.
