The Pew Charitable Trusts submitted comments to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Oct. 25 responding to the agency’s draft guidance for bringing under veterinary oversight all medically important antibiotics approved for use in animals.
Pew’s comments highlight that the guidance is an important step for ensuring the judicious use of antibiotics and encourage the agency to implement the policy as soon as possible.
