The Pew Charitable Trusts commented on the U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef’s draft Sustainability Framework on Dec. 20, applauding the group’s efforts to address the important issue of antibiotic stewardship in the U.S. beef industry.
To help magnify the framework’s impact, Pew urged the organization to more fully align the document with the core components of antibiotic stewardship in food animal production recently developed by key members of the animal agriculture industry.
