Pew Urges HHS to Support Electronic Health Record Interoperability, More Data on Medical Devices

The Pew Charitable Trusts sent a letter on Jan. 25, 2018, to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, urging it to prioritize greater interoperability among electronic health record systems and to add unique device identifiers to insurance claims data. The letter came in response to a Trump administration executive order released in October 2017 that called for promoting greater choice and competition in the health care industry.
