In September 2015, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Fisheries Service (NOAA Fisheries) released a draft policy on ecosystem-based fisheries management. This policy, when finalized, will help guide agency actions and decisions.
On Dec. 16, 2015, Pew submitted a comment letter to convey our support of this policy, suggest a few improvements, and encourage NOAA to put this modern approach to fisheries management fully into practice.
