Pew's Comments on Proposed Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment Rule

The Pew Charitable Trusts submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on Aug. 31, 2015, regarding its proposed update to the Medicare hospital outpatient prospective payment system.

The comments outlined opportunities for the agency to improve its medical device credit reporting process and to enhance oversight by including unique device identifier (UDI) information in claims data.
