Benjamin Franklin: 300th Birthday Celebrated With Events In Philadelphia; Exhibit Travels Internationally

This guide offers a host of events and interactive exhibits that comprise the Ben Franklin 300 Philadelphia Celebrations from December 2005 through March 2006, culminating with "Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World," the international traveling exhibition making its debut in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center December 2005 through April 30, 2006.

These events have been coordinated by the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary, a private, non-profit organization supported by a lead grant of $4 million from The Pew Charitable Trusts.

The Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary was founded in 2000 by a consortium of five Philadelphia institutions: the American Philosophical Society, The Franklin Institute, the Library Company of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the University of Pennsylvania.
