Retirement Security For Latinos: Bolstering Coverage, Savings and Adequacy

Latinos are the fastest growing segment of the American population at or near retirement. Yet, Hispanic American workers are far less likely to participate in an employment-based pension or retirement savings plan or have any savings earmarked for retirement when compared to the overall workforce. A growing body of empirical evidence points toward viable ways to overcome this significant public policy issue. Panelists will discuss three specific solutions, focusing on making it easier to save, increasing incentives to do so, and expanding financial counseling availability.
