City of Worcester Union Hill Revitalization
Location Worcester Massachusetts
Organization Worcester Divison of Public Health, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Worcester Office of Economic Development

The City of Worcester is beginning a comprehensive neighborhood revitalization strategy in the Union Hill area, a neighborhood that has experienced decline in recent decades. The Worcester Division of Public Health, along with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and staff from the Worcester Office of Economic Development, will conduct a rapid health impact assessment (HIA) of the proposed strategy. Multiple city departments will be engaged in a collaborative format to address the range of needs in the community. The City anticipates that the final strategy can be refined and applied in other neighborhoods around Worcester over time.
