The fees associated with retirement savings plans, which include both investment and administrative costs, can reduce Americans’ retirement savings. Still, in many instances, financial service providers and plan sponsors do not clearly or fully disclose the fees charged to participants. Pew’s research looks at the effect of fees on long-term savings as well as the impact of fee disclosures on investor choices.
