Institute of Medicine Report: Dying in America

In September 2014, the Institute of Medicine released its report “Dying in America: Improving Quality and Honoring Individual Preferences Near the End of Life.” In the document, an expert committee discusses how improving medical and social services for patients and their families could enhance quality of care through the end of life and contribute to a more sustainable care system.
