219,000+ Americans Unite to Urge FDA to End Antibiotic Overuse

More than 219,000 people across the country have urged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to end antibiotic overuse on industrial farms just to make animals grow faster and compensate for overcrowded and unsanitary conditions. Over the past three months, an outpouring of doctors, parents, consumers, business leaders, veterinarians, chefs, farmers and others asked the FDA to strengthen draft measures that it released in April. The FDA will now consider the public's comments as it revises the policy.
