Data from the 2008 Cooperative Congressional Election Study show that among individuals concerned about privacy when casting ballots, those in the political minority had greater concerns about voting confidentiality.
Recent research from Utah found similar concerns. Voters in the state’s political minority were less likely than majority voters to think their privacy was assured while voting, their ballot was counted, and the election process was fair.
