National Academy of Sciences to Undertake an HIA Guidance Study

The National Academy of Sciences study will "develop a framework, terminology, and guidance for conducting health impact assessments of proposed policies, programs, and projects at the federal, state, tribal, and local levels, including the private sector," according to the organization\'s Web site.  Health Impact Project Director Aaron Wernham, M.D., will be a part of this new committee, which expects to issue a report in approximately 18 months.
