Matthew Milios
PROFILE
Matthew Milios is vice president for communications at The Pew Charitable Trusts, leading digital strategy and content creation for Pew’s evidence-based work. In this role, Milios oversees the Trusts’ in-house editorial, digital, and production teams and helps to elevate Pew’s programmatic work to reach policymakers, partners, and the public.
Milios joined Pew with 25 years of experience in content production, including accomplishments in journalism, multimedia production, and other forms of storytelling. He has led creative projects at for-profit, nonprofit, and philanthropic organizations. Milios started his career as a director of photography before working in video and multimedia production for NBC News Digital and Microsoft. Later, he was creative director for emerging media at Vulcan Productions, a film company focused on impact storytelling. More recently, Milios led Cause for Content, a strategy and storytelling consultancy.
Milios holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Arts in photojournalism from the University of Missouri.
