Reyna Gilbert
PROFILE
Reyna Gilbert supports Pew’s preventing ocean plastics project, including modeling plastic flows for countries and helping design national policies that reduce plastic pollution into the environment. Gilbert previously supported Pew’s campaign to reduce harmful fisheries subsidies; she focused on bringing together World Trade Organization members, scientists, civil society, and other stakeholders in a global effort to end the payments that harm fish populations.
Before joining Pew, Gilbert was a program associate at Rare, an environmental nonprofit.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Africana studies from Wellesley College.
