Ruth Lindberg

PROFILE

Ruth Lindberg is a project director with The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Health Programs. She previously directed Pew’s Health Impact Project, a collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The project highlighted how health is directly influenced by social and economic factors, such as employment, housing, and education. She has conducted health impact assessments on several federal policies and programs, including the Every Student Succeeds Act, the designated housing rule, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program, as well as health notes on a range of topics in partnership with state and local legislatures.

Before joining Pew, Lindberg worked as a program manager for the National Center for Healthy Housing and as the outreach and education coordinator for childhood lead poisoning prevention initiatives at the Rhode Island Department of Health.

Lindberg holds a bachelor’s degree in community health from Brown University and master’s degrees in urban planning and public health from the University of Washington.
