PROFILE

Pía Weber is an environmental and administrative lawyer leading Pew's work to protect Patagonia's rivers, advancing the Chilean Patagonia project’s freshwater conservation efforts.

Before joining Pew, she worked for the chief of staff’s office for Chilie’s president and was the founder and director of Fundación NgenKo, a nongovernmental organization dedicated to research, education, and the protection of Chile’s freshwater.

Weber holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in Chile and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Pía lives in Futaleufú, in northern Patagonia, home to one of the rivers we’re seeking to protect.
