Delegates Speak: California on Immigration

Sept. 4, 2008, 1:45 p.m. EDT

Q. What serious issue in your state would you like the next president to address?

I'm from California and immigration is a big issue… I think access without amnesty is important. There should be some type of quicker access for people who want to come in to work in our country. I work in agriculture… we need some type of program where people can legally have access to our country … so that they aren't constantly trying to get across the border illegally.

-California delegate Doug Britton, 48, of Firebaugh, a small town west of Fresno, farmer and trucker, interviewed by Pamela M. Prah,
