Center for Public Integrity - Non-profit, non-partisan group that provides analyses and investigations that focus on federal and state government accountability and ethics issues. You can sign up to receive The Public i, the Center's free weekly investigative report, at the site.

Center for Responsive Politics - D.C.-based non-profit, non-partisan research organization that tracks money in politics. A wonderful source for research on campaign finance topics, including background information, federal and state level stats, news releases, and weekly news alerts.

Common Cause - Citizens' lobbying watchdog group that focuses on government accountability. The site provides a useful round-up of state news about election reform and campaign finance, as well as access to pertinent news releases and Common Cause-sponsored campaign finance studies.

Campaign Finance Information Center - Formed to help journalists track campaign finance issues, this site is a useful place to find state-by-state campaign finance comparisons, and to track cash flow across the nation. Stories, tips, and links for campaign finance coverage, access to CFIC's quarterly newsletter, and important information on campaign finance reporting seminars around the nation make this a quality source for reporters.

The Concord Coalition -The Concord Coalition is a neutral, grassroots organization which advocates the fiscal responsibilities of government while ensuring Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

C-Span - In addition to breaking news coverage, you can watch and listen to House sessions, Senate sessions, and news conferences at C-Span's home on the web.

Council of State Governments - CSG publishes a daily round-up of state news, and a thorough list of links to think tanks, state agencies, and issue research resources.

CNN.com--AllPolitics - CNN's AllPolitics site provides breaking news coverage, and access to a free political news round-up newsletter for subscribers.

Democratic National Committee -A comprehensive and up-to-date database for the Democratic National Committee. This site also provides information on voter registration, contributions, and volunteerism.

E.Politics - Site that provides Congressional schedules, expansive links to other political sites, and offers an Early Warning clipping report for issue-specific news alerts.

Federal Election Commission - Up-to-date news releases, voter stats, contact info for state election offices that have access to FEC's database, and a useful database for Candidate and PAC/Party summaries, searchable by state, party, office, and name.

Green Parties of North America -Offers comprehensive information on the North American Green Party as well as the Green Parties world wide. Provides useful information on the Green Party charter, which deals primarily with grassroots democracy, ecological wisdom, and non-violent social action.

Libertarian Party -Provides comprehensive information on the Libertarian Grassroots Political Organization, America's largest third party.

League of Women Voters -The League of Women Voters is a neutral site that provides information on voter participation, campaign finance, civic education and participation, and the diversity of representation in American politics.

National Institute on Money In State Politics - Provides a comprehensive database for finding out what businesses or contributors invested in elections on the federal and state levels, and allows for state-by-state, region-by-region comparisons as well. A tutorial on how to use the database is offerred at the site.

National Governors Association -A website which provides key information on gubernatorial issues.

National Conference of State Legislatures - NCSL's site offers up-to-date news coverage and comprehensive information and research on critical issues before the concerning state legislatures.

Politics.com - A broadly scoped site that offers links to U.S. House and Senate, a news wire for National news, and a wide range of links, facts, and figures regarding politics and policy.

Politics1 - This popular, non-partisan, public service site provides election information on federal, state, and local levels, and a calendar of elections and major political events. The site's most useful feature is an extensive list of links to information on hot political issues and debates.

Politics Research Group - Brings together work of Kennedy School faculty engaged in research related to politics. The online archive of working papers by Kennedy School faculty covers a broad range of topics and fields. The papers are organized by year, or by topic.

Politics Now - Offers weekly political round-up published by the National Journal--the round-up is conveniently organized by issue.

Project Vote Smart - PVS's site offers a wide array of information on political candidates and officeholders at the state and federal level, tracks voting records, and lists links to think tanks, issue advocacy groups, and state and federal election agencies.

Republican National Committee -This site offers general information, up-to-date stories, and individual profiles of the GOP. Also provides information on voter registration, GOP state parties, and GOP hotlinks.

State Politics and Policy Quarterly -This quarterly site is designed for those interested in the comprehensive research and discussion of state politics and policy.

Stateweb - Bi-partisan website focusing on state level politics. Provides over 10,000 links to state news, government, and political resources.

State Government and Politics Document Center -This site offers an array of downloadable documents, forms, legislation, and information about the various state governments.

State Election Results -Offers information on live election returns, registration deadlines, voter applications, and general voter information as well as information on campaign finance and new election laws.

University of Michigan Document Center - The University of Michigan maintains this huge, comprehensive site that provides links to political parties, think tanks, advocacy groups, legal research resources, political journals, statistical research sites, and more.

United States Politics and Elections Site maintained by Klipsan, an independent publishing house with a focus on electoral history and politics. The site provides links to general election information, links to election calendars, and a round-up of international, national, and state level election news.

The Washington Post's "On Politics" Page - The Washington Post politics page is an excellent source for breaking political news, analysis by political correspondents, and news polls.
