The Flatside Wilderness Enhancement Act (H.R. 5636) would add roughly 2,000 acres to the existing wilderness area’s northern and western sides, improving opportunities for hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding, and more. While the Poteau Mountain Wilderness is in Arkansas, this 11,141-acre area would not be expanded by the new bill.
