It's been more than 30 years since a new type of antibiotic has been made available to patients. Dr. Shannon Ross has experienced the consequences first-hand.

"My worst fear as a doctor, in regards to the antibiotic resistance crisis, is not being able to treat a patient, and having to tell the family that there are no options to treat them," Shannon says. "We have fewer and fewer options to treat patients."
