Montana's forests attract hikers, campers, anglers and hunters, who drive $1 billion into the state's economy through consumer spending. The forests are also home to a timber industry that provides jobs to many Montanans.

Through the Forest Jobs and Recreation Act, Congress has the opportunity to create more jobs in the woods while protecting 700,000 acres in the Kootenai, Lolo and Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forests.
