Pew Supports Increased Funding for Prescription Drug Monitoring

On Jan. 21, The Pew Charitable Trusts sent a letter to Senators Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Patty Murray (D-WA) expressing support for the National All Schedules Prescription Electronic Reporting Reauthorization Act of 2015. This legislation would provide funding to states to maintain and enhance prescription drug monitoring programs, electronic databases that help prescribers and pharmacists identify patients who are at risk for prescription drug abuse.
