TN: Tennessee governor signs bill for limited use of cannabis oil
The new law, signed by Republican Gov. Bill Haslam, allows patients who suffer from seizures or epilepsy and receive a recommendation from a doctor to use cannabis oil. The law doesn’t allow patients to purchase oil made in Tennessee, but they can buy it from 23 states where some form of medical marijuana is legal.

A bill to let Texans register to vote online is dead, five days after a small but vocal group of Harris County (Houston) officials voiced their opposition to it during a committee hearing. Under the proposal, Texans with a valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card could have entered their information online and submitted it to sign up to vote.
