Alaska Still the Last Frontier at GOP Convention

After Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama tapped U.S. Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate, Delaware, as Biden’s home state, was rewarded at the Democratic National Convention with prime seating.

No such luck at the Republican convention for Alaska, home of vice-presidential pick Gov. Sarah Palin. On Monday (Sept. 1), the Alaska delegation was seated on the back edge of the expansive convention floor, where the view of the podium was clear, but very far away.
