>Q. What serious issue in your state would you like the next president to address?
We have a big ethanol industry now, and they’re hurting, because of the price of corn has gone so high and they need to buy corn to make the ethanol. The farmers are happy, yet it’s costing so much, the ethanol producers can’t (make money). I invested in an ethanol plant… I think times are changing on that. We have to find cellulose ethanol and get away from just the corn that we produce. I think there’s a misconception with the corn. The corn that we’re using for the ethanol production is not the corn like you and I are eating, corn off the cob… That’s what I hear most, high gasoline prices and the price of food. And that’s really difficult.
