Research

Currently, our group is comprised of two research areas both oriented towards technological innovation. One the one hand, there is the area of “Biotechnology and Medicinal Plants” which focuses on the study and characterization of natural products with potential in the glycemic control and anti-oxidant properties using experimental model of diabetes. We have set up a non-governmental organization to develop action that stimulate technological innovation in medicinal plants and herbal medicine, sustainable use of biodiversity and the integration between popular and academic knowledge. On the other hand, we work on the “Biochemistry of Stress” where we seek to measure and develop analytical methods, and guidelines for the use of saliva as a matrix for the diagnosis of the effect of physical and psychological stress
