Pew Urges Health IT Agency to Improve Data Exchange, Patient Matching

The Pew Charitable Trusts submitted comments June 17 to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology in response to draft requirements to support the exchange of health care data. Pew calls for standardizing addresses and including data elements such as email addresses to improve patient matching rates, along with expanding the use of application programming interfaces to share patients’ information.
