Pew Joins National Organizations in Supporting Great American Outdoors Act
Historic legislation would help address deferred maintenance needs at national parks
The Pew Charitable Trusts joined the National Audubon Society and the United States Chamber of Commerce in releasing a statement June 15 urging the U.S. Senate to pass the Great American Outdoors Act and calling on the House of Representatives to take action. The bipartisan bill would address priority repair needs at National Park Service sites and other public lands. It also would permanently fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
