Pew Submits Testimony Urging That Federal Infrastructure Investments Be Flood-Ready

The Pew Charitable Trusts submitted a statement for a House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing held Feb. 7 on the need to repair and modernize the nation’s infrastructure. Pew supports updating flood-ready standards for federally funded projects, establishing federal programs to enable states and communities to take measures to reduce risk to structures and infrastructure, and prioritizing the consideration of nature-based solutions for infrastructure projects in flood-prone areas.
