Faces of the Pennsylvania Medicaid Program

Faces of the Pennsylvania Medicaid Program

Faces of the Pennsylvania Medicaid Program is The Pennsylvania Medicaid Policy Center's first report. It provides information on the Medical Assistance program and puts a “face” to the population served by Medicaid in Pennsylvania.

The publication also describes the characteristics of the individuals who are eligible for the program, provides data on the number of people who were covered in 2006 and examines the distribution of individuals and costs across the broad eligibility categories. It also gives information on the proportion of the overall population and the proportion of children who are covered by Medical Assistance in each county in the Commonwealth.
