Event description:

Deborah James will begin this two-part event at New America by presenting how the U.S. Air Force sees energy security as vital to mission success. This success could include ensuring that aircraft have the fuel needed to fly their missions or that the service can restore a shut-down power grid to operational status quickly—what is known as a black start.

A discussion among top DOD energy officials will follow, with members of the Clean Energy Business Network invited to submit questions via Twitter (#EnergyDoD) or email. The conversation will focus on how clean energy companies can work with the DOD to provide cleaner, more efficient, more secure energy solutions to military facilities across the nation.
