Q. What serious issue in your state would you like the next president to address?

Immigration. I don’t know a whole lot, but when I went to college I learned that when you use the word ‘illegal,’ then everything following it is also illegal. I don’t know the answer. It’s bit of a sticky wicket, but clearly we need to have some resolution.

– Mississippi delegate Don Taylor of Crystal Springs, recently retired as executive director of the Mississippi Department of Human Resources, interviewed by Pamela M. Prah, Stateline.org.
