New Hampshire Dispatch Ballots Already Cast in Presidential Primary

The first ballots in the 2012 New Hampshire Presidential Primary, scheduled for January 10, have already been cast.

Clerks have been sending ballots to military and overseas voters covered by Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) for more than a month. As of November 28, the Secretary of State’s office says it has responded to 163 requests for UOCAVA ballots. More than half of those ballots—89—were transmitted to voters by e-mail, while the rest were sent by regular mail. Twenty-five ballots have been cast.
